Something to really squeak your teeth into...

There’s been a lot to take on board recently. We’ve all been tucked away in lockdown for months, occasionally escaping to buy food or walk around the block, and now, it’s all happening at once.

Shops are open! Fast food joints are starting to open again! Restaurants, bars and pubs will be back in action on 4 July! It’s all on, all of a sudden.

If you weren’t already overwhelmed by all the foodie choices headed your way, Burger King has just announced it’s bringing back its Halloumi King Burger, just in time for summer.

Squeaky cheese for everyone.

On top of this cheese-bending news, BK is also added a brand-new Halloumi Bacon Burger to the menu.

The Halloumi King Burger is made up of two fried Halloumi patties, served in a brioche bun, with lettuce, onion, tomato and mayo.

The Halloumi Bacon Burger, as you might be able to imagine, fits some crispy bacon between the Halloumi patties.

Both burgers are on sale now. Like with Burger King’s vegan burger, the Halloumi burger is vegetarian, but is cooked on the same grill as the chicken and fish burgers, so one to watch out for if you're a strict veggie.

If you’re craving a bit more beef from your burger, the Bacon King Burger is also making its triumphant return to menus: two flame-frilled beef burgers, topped with thick-cut smoked bacon, American cheese, ketchup, mayo. Boom.

Katie Evans, marketing director at Burger King UK said, “We are so pleased to be able to start expanding our menu again as we continue to ease out of lockdown with our phased re-opening plan.

"You asked, we listened and now we can finally bring a dose of much-needed joy with the return of our very popular Halloumi King Burger and brand-new Halloumi Bacon Burger, just in time for summer."
