We've all been there. A sudden craving for Pizza in the middle of the night, long after the last pizzeria has shut their doors for the night, resigning ourselves to go back to sleep, cold, lonely and pizza-less.

Well, one Bristolian restaurant may have the answer to all our hopes and dreams, after they installed a pizza vending machine that serves fresh, stonebaked pizza round-the-clock.

Pizza Bella in Bedminster, Bristol installed the machine after the national lockdown left them running a takeaway-only business, and it is has proven to be a huge success.

YouTuber The Critical Chef tested out the machine on their channel.

The machine works at any time of the day, meaning that Pizza Bella have the monopoly on late-night pizza cravings in Bristol.

Freshly-made pizzas are loaded into a refrigerated storage area in the machine, and are then selected by customers choosing their pizza via the external touchscreen. The chosen pizza is then moved into a pizza oven, cooked, and then 'delivered' to the customer in around three minutes.

You can see how the machine works in the video below:

According to the restaurant owner, Sina, the machine has proven popular, with many customers using it past midnight - way after the establishment closes its doors.

Perhaps this is just the beginning for the future of takeaway pizzas in the UK. Would you like to see more of these machines spring up? Let us know in the comments below!
