Review: Roosters crispy chicken sandwich

As you all know our friend Denise Perry got me completely hooked on a restaurant called Roosters. This time around instead of pizza I wanted to try their crispy chicken sandwich and what goes good with a chicken sandwich? Spicy chicken wings of course!

I ordered it with lettuce, onions, pickles, mayo and blue cheese crumbles. Of course I got it to bring home to eat, I must say I was impressed with how it was packaged up. The pickles and mayo were in little containers so they would not cause sogginess issues. The lettuce and onions were still crisp and fresh tasting, I am very impressed with that. The blue cheese crumbles were a bit salty but I was fine with it. These have to be some of the best buns in the business you all, even my wife made a comment about how good the bun looked. Now for that great piece of chicken, it was … well, short of perfect, a nice crunch on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside.

I would have taken a photo of the center of the sandwich but once I started eating it I could not stop long enough to be bothered with a photo. As you may have guessed this chicken sandwich was amazingly good and you all know I am very hard on restaurants. If you have a Roosters near you I highly recommend you get you a crispy chicken sandwich. I know I will be getting another one, maybe really soon.
