Ribs for tea on the BBQ with new potatoes. Earlier I was reading Robin Sweet Tooth Ho's post about the burger with krauterbutter sauce and I thought that would be nice on some new potatoes. I picked some chives from the garden and pulverised some garlic and mixed it all into some butter with a good pinch of umami salt, which I found on a recent holiday to Anglesey. From what I can gather krauterbutter is what we call garlic and herb butter so that was that made and left to set in the fridge for a few hours. I simply boiled the fresh spuds and dolloped the butter on top. So simple but so good. The only decision left was what to serve them with. Sometimes the main event isn't all about the meat.
