Robin’s Burgers: Making it better with Arugula
Sometimes, a little green is much appreciated.
Usually, I prefer very simple Burgers. There do not have to be many Ingredients to make me happy.
In Fact, the Opposite is true. The fewer Things in there, the better. I want to really taste that Meat after all.
Plenty of Arugula.
But yesterday Evening, I decided to spice it up for Dinner. While going through the Supermarket, I had discovered that there was a Special Offer on Arugula. It was actually quite cheap.
Do not get me wrong, I already knew that Arugula is great on Burgers. But I had not used it in a long Time.
Using it once again was definitely worth it. While most of my Ingredients stayed the same, Brioche Bun, organic Meat, Sweet Mustard and Remoulade, I only switched to Goats Cheese, the Burger tasted completely different.
Two Burgers.
I do not mean that in a bad Way as well: It tasted much better than what I am used to. It also gave me an Idea for a new Journey.
It will take me a while to find my perfect Burger, but I will attempt to do it. By changing one Ingredient at a Time and then tasting if it actually works out for me.
And I am open to Suggestions. Just do not come with Kewpie, as it is too pricey, or Tomatoes, as they are vile.

Looks really tasty. Well done as always Robin, that green colour is great 😄
Thank you! I really found my old love for Arugula again. 🤤
Welcome. Arugula is nice add indeed so many uses burgers, pizza, salads and many others 🙃
So I will not mention Kewpie😁
This is going to be a very long journey because there is so many options you can do, trust me I know🙄 the buns are always a nice place to start.
I know. It will probably turn into an Odyssey. But hey, I am just in it for the Fun. What kind of Buns would you recommend? And I do not mean dancing ones. 😬
Also, what do you think about the Arugula?
It definitely will and it will be a tasty one.
I am partial to brioche but pretzel buns are nice as well. Arugula is a nice choice, I prefer a crisper lettuce so it does not go limp and soggy.
I like a smoked gouda and American both on a burger.
Smoked Gouda is really nice. 😊
It is but I like the addition of American just for that extra melty gooey factor. 😆 I feel like I need a burger now 🙄
Oh goat cheese and arugula is my fav combo, I eat turkey burgers though. I had a lamb sandwich years ago that went well with that at a French restaurant, it also had an amazing sauce but I have no idea what that was.
Nice. Never actually had a Turkey Burger.
Arugula/Rocket is my favourite green. It makes any sandwich fabulous.
It does!
