Robin’s Kitchen: A little Helper

Cooking a Steak with my new Kitchen Thingemabob.

Ever since my Birthday last Month, I had my brand new OptiGrill just sitting out there in the Boot of my Car.

I just was not allowed to use it at my former temporary Abode. And that was annoying. I really wanted to use it. I also really wanted some hot Food.

A ‘cheap’ Steak.

A ‘cheap’ Steak.

Today, I finally got to try out this Kitchen Gadget though. And what better Way to do that than to cook a nice Steak?

First Things first: Pre-heating takes a long Time. But I had anticipated that.

Cooking the Steak was easy enough though. The Thing tells you when your Food is at what doneness. I like that.

The medium Steak.

The medium Steak.

Because I had seen a few Videos telling me to do so, I took the Steak out of the Grill between Rare and Medium.

It was perfectly cook just the Way I like it. There were no Problems there.

With Steak, I kinda prefer the Pan though. It makes for a more uniform look.

A fancy Panini Press

After having devoured my Steak then, I was still feeling a bit Peckish. So I decided to also make a very simp Sandwich in my OptiGrill.

That worked even better. Maybe I finally have a Way to make a good Cheese Toasty without me getting in the Way.

I have to admit: I actually like my OptiGrill. It will not replace any Pots and Pans and what not, but it will make it easier for me to have some warm Food after a long Day at Work.

And coincidentally, that is why I wanted to have one. I will still do normal Cooking though. Do not worry about that.

But I do feel a little like Inspector Gadget.

    • I used to have a different brand and enjoyed it. No it does not replace any pots or pans plus another gadget to stack somewhere 😂

  • Love the Tfall Oprigrill!

Use it 2-3 times a week, burgers, chicken, pork chops, Seafood panini sandwiches, etc.

Especially great for Wintertime when grilling outside in a puffy down coat, donned with thick gloves, heavy boots in 3 feet of snow, haha, Oprigrill is definitely the way to go in the Winter (though I use it throughout the entire year).
