Robin’s Kitchen: Making a German Burger
With store-bought beef patties.
A few days ago, I had discovered a new brand of ready-to-cook burger patties at a local supermarket.
Since I still had to try out the burger function on my OptiGrill, I decided to buy a pack of two and make a ‘German Burger' with it. And so last Thursday, I did just that.
An Empty wrapper.
For the burger, I used some brioche buns; good, sweet Bavarian mustard, some remoulade and Tilsiter cheese.
I cooked my patties just the way I like them, giving both some salt and pepper, and then they went onto the assembly line.
Sadly, I was unable to source some good Krautsalat without corn or bell peppers in it, so that part of my plan had to be abandoned.
With some Ingredients (Teaser ahead!?)
I have to say that those burger patties were much better than my best expectations led me to believe. They were actually juicy and very delicious.
The rest of the burger was actually quite fabulous even without the Krautsalat, though I still want to try that combination. The cheese was great, and both mustard and remoulade did an outstanding Job in bringing it all together. I loved it.
Oh… and Robin’s Kitchen will be back soon, once my Internet Box arrives...
