Rosie’s Cheeselog

This is only the 2nd time I’ve made Rosie’s Cheeselog but I’ve been eating it my entire life.

Rosie was a family friend (my grandmother’s best friend from high school) & a wonderful cook. During holidays she’d make this amazing cheeseball that I’ve turned into a log. The ingredients are simple.

Cream cheese, Old English cheese spread, Worcestershire sauce, blue cheese & pecans. You blend, mold into a ball or log, then cover in more pecans & blue cheese.

Sadly Rosie passed away two weeks ago just shy of her 97th birthday. She was baking cookies for friends & family right up until the end. It’s very sad but we honor her by still preparing her food. Today I’m making her Cheeselog on Thanksgiving & remembering a a very special lady.

  • I am sorry to hear about Rosie! It is wonderful that you continue to honor her. The cheeselog sounds good but anything with blue cheese is a great start.
