RUM INFUSED PRAWNS #COOKJOHNCOLEMAN
Here is my entry for the #COOKJOHNCOLEMAN challenge
I have made something similar to this before but without the rum. Firstly I took some uncooked prawns and with a pin I pricked holes in to them. Once I had done this I placed them in a bowl and covered them with some spiced rum and left them to infuse for 6 hours.
In a pan I melted some butter and added the prawns and two teaspoonful of honey and the left over rum that was left in the bowl
I added some fresh vegetables and another 2 tablespoons of rum and covered the pan with a lid to allow some steam to form to steam the vegetables
Once the vegetables were steamed I added some noodles to combine all the flavours and served with fresh cut lime and coriander. With the sweetness of the honey and the warmth from the rum what more could you ask for
