Selena Gomez is starring in her own quarantine cooking show
She's the latest celeb to get a lockdown cooking show
This week WarnerMedia announced what they’re referring to as “Untitled Cooking Project” (we’re no marketing pros, but they’ll probably have to work on the name). It’s a new cooking series starring the singer and actress which will air on HBO Max, a new streaming service.
The unscripted show will follow Gomez as she cooks while socially distancing at home as a result of... youknowwhat. Each of the 10 episodes will see the celeb joined by a different master chef for a good ol’ quarantine cook-along.
The pair will cook up “cuisines of every variety”, according to the announcement, as well as sharing cooking advice – everything from how to deal with missing ingredients to tackling a smoking oven. Each episode will also shine the spotlight on a food-related charity.
Gomez said, “I’ve always been very vocal about my love of food. I think I’ve been asked hundreds of times in interviews if I had another career, what would I do and I’ve answered that it would be fun to be a chef.”
“I definitely don’t have the formal training though! Like many of us while being home I find myself cooking more and experimenting in the kitchen.”
The show will debut this summer.
