- Fresh, pan fried oysters. Grown at Mac's shellfish aquaculture, Fanny Bay, British Columbia, Canada

From the local Pacific oyster farm website: "Oysters are an excellent source of Zinc. Zinc is a proven immunity booster and may therefore help prevent colds and FLU.”

  • I'm trying desperately to like oysters, but haven't quite found a way for my throat to not give me an immediate, 'noooo' when I try to eat them. Maybe I should try frying them?

    • Yes, try frying! To start, freshness of the oysters is key. These were dipped in egg, then rolled in Panko bread crumbs and a little lemon pepper. Serve with cocktail, tartar sauce or just a squeeze of lemon and... yum!
