South London Restaurant Other Side Fried now accepts orders via Amazon Alexa
'Alexa, I'd like a side of fries, please. Oh yeah, and play the Arctic Monkeys'
Natta, a British start-up specializing in voice technology, has partnered up with Other Side Fried, a chicken burger restaurant chain based in Brixton, South London to offer customers delivery option via Amazon Alexa smart speaker.

Other Side Fried becomes the latest restaurant chain to include this type of service after Pizza Hut, Just Eat and Domino's. However, while other chains still require you to initiate the order process via app, this is going to be a bit different thanks to the help of Natta, as confirmed by the company's founder Jon Sprank who said that users will be able to 'enjoy the experience regardless of whether the customer has ordered from the restaurant before or knows the menu.'

This is how it works. You ask Alexa to connect with Other Side Fried and list the items on the menu, once you've made your decision you simply tell it what you want. If you're a regular customer, you can even simply ask to send your last order.

The only downside is this service is temporarily only available for customers who live within a 1.5 mile radius of the restaurant. The good news is this is just the start as Mr. Sprank confirms that the company is "working on a voice-first food delivery marketplace across London and the UK in the next few months”.
