Starbucks is launching 47 new Frappucinos for its 25th anniversary
Good news... if you live in Japan
Starbucks Japan is launching 47 new Frappucino flavours to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
This promotion is being called “47 Jimoto Frappuccino,” with 'jimoto' meaning 'local'. Each of the new 47 special flavours draws on distinct ingredients unique to each of the districts of Japan, known as prefectures.
In order to make these new drinks as special as possible, Starbucks Japan has made sure that all 47 of these Jimoto Frappuccinos taste and look great.
Some of the more visually-appealing drinks include the Kanagawa Frappuccino which uses butterfly pea tea syrup to embody the seaside prefecture, and the Hokkaido Frappuccino, which uses a white base of milk and sugar cane to create the prefecture's distinct ski slopes.
This celebration will last from June 30th to August 3rd, with each drink costing ¥669 JPY (approximately $6 USD). Each unique Frappuccino can only be purchased at its respective prefecture.
