Starbucks is reopening its stores with new summer-inspired menus
To Starbucks or not to Starbucks? That's the question
As Covid restrictions are slowly being lifted, Starbucks is gradually and responsibly reopening its stores across the United States. At the time of writing, around 85 percent its stores are open again, operating under new cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
As we wait and hope to get back to a full-time normality as soon as possible, we can at least enjoy new summer-inspired food and drinks from the new Starbucks menu now available in the US and Canada. The menu includes: the Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink, the Grilled Chicken and Hummus Protein Box, the Unicorn Cake Pop and the S’mores Blended Frappuccino.
Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink
Let's start with the Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink , which combines guava and passionfruit with pineapple and ginger. It's hand-shaken with coconut milk and ice, resulting in a juicy and creamy (non-dairy) drink.
The S’mores Frappuccino is a seasonal favourite at Starbucks. It's made with marshmallow-infused whipped cream, milk chocolate sauce, and a blend of vanilla, coffee, milk and ice – with more marshmallow and graham cracker crumble as the cherry on top of the proverbial cake.
Grilled Chicken & Hummus Protein Box, with 22 grams of protein
The Grilled Chicken & Hummus Protein Box features a tender "sous vide" chicken breast, along with roasted red pepper hummus and naan bread, baby carrots and snap peas.
Then there's the new Unicorn Cake Pop (that's as Starbucks-y a name as it gets if you ask me). It's a creamy vanilla cake with confetti sprinkles shaped like unicorns, dipped in a white chocolatey icing.
