Taco Bell is opening more cantinas so you can knock back a beer with your nachos
They're also opening a gaming-themed restaurant
This is a big week for Taco Bell. First they launch the all-new Veggie Mode, to make ordering plant-based super easy. And now, the taco chain unveils exciting new plans to launch more cantina-style restaurants.
The company is testing new “fast social” concepts, meaning they’re opening new cantinas as well as converting traditional Taco Bell restaurants.
What does actually this mean in practice? Well, they’ll serve booze and they’ll also have tech-forward innovations like kiosks and digital menu boards.
The plans include a new Times Square location that’s billed as the “most technology-forward Taco Bell to date”.
There’s also going to be opening a gaming-themed Taco Bell in San Ramone, California so you can play games while you eat your tacos.
“By tapping into cultural insights, we’ve learned that our customers want to engage with the brand in a way that amplifies their social nature,” said Taco Bell President, Global Chief Operating Officer Mike Grams. “We are once again pushing the boundaries of the traditional QSR dining experience by setting the stage for our ‘fast-social’ restaurants, which introduce dynamic dining rooms and lean into social gatherings.”
