Taco Bell released scented wrapping paper

Spoiler alert: it's already sold out

What scents do you think of when you think of Christmas? Cinnamon and orange? Maybe the woody aroma of pine trees or hot spiced cider?

We’re guessing you probably don’t think of steak and sour cream. But Taco Bell Canada is changing that - well, it did for the few lucky people that managed to get their hands on the chain’s *scented* CrunchWrapping Paper.

No, your eyes don’t deceive you. Not only does Taco Bell’s festive gift paper look like the ingredients in a CrunchWrap Supreme, it’s been made to smell like them too.

Each set of the wrapping paper had five sheets that looked like five different Crunchwrap ingredients: a tostada shell, a soft tortilla, ground beef, nacho cheese sauce, and a combination of lettuce, tomato, and sour cream.

The scented edition of the CrunchWrapping paper is new for this year. But before you get too excited and go wrapping your partner’s new watch in the distinct aroma of seasoned beef, we need to inform you: it’s already sold out.

Veronica Castillo, the Head of Marketing at Taco Bell Canada, said: "Our CrunchWrapping Paper was a huge hit last year, selling out in just a few days, so we wanted to bring it back again this holiday season but take it one step further by adding the unique Triple Double Crunchwrap scent. Long gone are the days of shaking your presents under the tree—this holiday season Taco Bell fans and foodies across Canada will be smelling their presents instead with Scented CrunchWrapping Paper.”

The paper went on sale in Taco Bell Canada stores and through Amazon.ca last week, but they’ve sold out already.

Here’s hoping they’ll bring out another roll…

  • i can't decide if this is horrific or kind of awesome... im leaning towards horrific, but due to that fact, it's something I want to wrap presents with for my friends.
