Teen finds rare puffy crisp, is offered £10,000 by Doritos
The moral of the story here is you never know how much money could be sitting in your crisp bag
Typically when opening a bag of crisps you know what you're getting, crisps and some air, hopefully more crisps than air, but for 13 year old Rylee Stuart of Queensland, Australia, she got more than she bargained for.
What the teen discovered is a rare chip that was puffed on all three sides. And instead of snacking on it, she decided to set it aside, taking to TikTok to ask if she should eat it or if it was valuable. While most told her to eat it, she decided to list it on eBay with a starting price of under a dollar.

Soon bids started flooding in and it reached AUS$100,000 (£50,000), before it was taken down. The now viral crisp has millions of views and Doritos has offered Rylee AUS$20,000 (£10,000).
Speaking to 9News, Rylee had this to say, "I was about to eat it, and I thought I better save it for later.
"I saw $10,000 (on the listing) and I like screamed."
Because Rylee's dad is the one who purchased the crisps he has tried to stake a claim to the prize but Rylee insists because she's the one who found it, that the prize should be all hers.
Taking to TikTok a second time, she spoke of when she heard the news about the offer from Doritos, Rylee said "Yes I cried and yes I screamed because I wasn't expecting this, and it just goes to show to all the people who said 'Just eat it' , think next time before you eat that chip.
"Obviously, this isn't normal but things can happen."
Chief Marketing Officer at Doritos, Vanita Pandey, had this to say to 9News, "We've been so impressed with Rylee's boldness and entrepreneurial spirit, so we wanted to make sure the Stuart family were rewarded for their creativity and love for Doritos. It's been a whirlwind couple days for Rylee and her family and we've loved following her story."
