The best burger place you'll find! Originally founded in Whitby, the restaurant has relocated to York and we're all very pleased. This place has a fabulous burger menu stacked with every flavour you could imagine, and all their sauces are handmade! The perfect casual place to meet, Burgys's can't be beaten.

2) The Nook

This stylish place really is a 'nook', tucked away in the winding streets of York. It offers a cosy and delicious dining experience – plus it's dog friendly! The menu is a delightful multicultural mix from around the globe, and all is homemade. You won't find a disappointing dish here!

3) Babakan

If you fancy something different and unique, this restaurant has got you covered! It's a family-run Polish establishment that serves the most incredible food. The rustic and homely environment adds to the traditional atmosphere, and the menu is truly inspirational.

4) Wildwood

Who doesn't love an amazing Italian restaurant? Well this one will blow your socks off! The fresh and delicate food is sensational accompanied by an extensive wine and cocktail menu, all paired with a true Italian atmosphere. This place is ideal for an intimate dinner party or a simple couple dinner date.

5) The Star Inn

Featured in the 2017 Good Pub Guide, this restaurant is simply beautiful. Overlooking the river, the deck outside is great for warm summer evenings and drinks and inside is just as magical. Decadent in quality and decor you won't be disappointed by this classic and distinguished establishment, and is certainly a must, even if it's just for the view.
