The best vegan recipes for students
A selection of tried and tested, budget-friendly vegan recipes, which are perfect for students
Student food needs to be cheap and quick, but that doesn't mean it has to be unhealthy and flavourless. I have done some research for recipes that fit the student criteria, while still being nutritious and delicious (and vegan)!
Here's a list of the recipes I thought were ideal:
Vegan shepherd's pie
Shepherd's pie is a brilliant comfort food. Lamb can be expensive for students, so switching it for a vegan alternative makes this recipe cost effective as well.
Easily freezable, you can cook up a large dish of this hearty meal and save the rest for when the time calls.
Vegan pizza
Ah pizza... it wouldn't be a compilation of student meals if this wasn't included. While pizza isn't the most nutritious recipe on this list, it is cheap, easy and bloody delicious! When made at home, pizza can be a fun and awesome flat activity.
Vegan chilli
This one is one of my all time favourites, especially in the colder months! This is so simple and cheap to make.
Great to make in bulk, and it can be paired with rice, pasta or vegetables.
Two vegan pastas
Pasta is the definition of a student staple. I found a two-in-one recipe video which looks so delicious and perfect for students. You can easily pop this in the fridge if you have leftovers. Creamy and filling, these recipes are fantastic for a hearty meal and versatile as well. Add your preferred vegetables and spices and make every pasta dish different.
Vegan burger
Much like pizza, burgers have to be in a student's recipe bank. Simple and tasty, this burger will hit the spot for sure.
Let me know if you have any other vegan or non-vegan student recipes. Enjoy.

Glad you like the look of them!
Vegan students mocktail liquid breakfast ?
oo what do those contain?
I guess basically chilled tomato juice with olives, lemon wedges, tabasco, worcestor, and a dash of pepper.
It's P.J. O'Rourkes "liquid breakfast " idea .
I like to add Masterfoods powdered garlic, boiled seaweed, and parsley .
I grew up on the original Star Trek tv series, and I was fascinated by the idea that Vulcans were vegan.
It really does make you think.
Imagine a generation of Vulcan students dining on simple vegan meals, and finding things fascinating.
Lately I've trying butter beans with chick peas, drizzled with lime juice and garlic powder.
Then there's this Vegan tofu based ricotta and spinach shell pasta, which looks fancy but is actually simple and cheap.
These look quite tempting! :)
