The collab of the new decade? Maltesers and Krispy Kreme Australia

Maltesers and Krispy Kreme Australia have joined forces to bring customers a match made in heaven.

Is it donut or doughnut? There might be two accepted spellings, but there's only one acceptable response to this collab news: joy. (unless you don't live in Australia.)

Two days ago, Krispy Kreme Australia told the world about their new collaboration with Maltesers. This is far from the first collaboration by the company, but it is undoubtedly one of the more compelling ones.

This follows hot on the heels of their release of their Rick and Morty collaboration, causing many (or at least, me) to wonder why Australia's Krispy Kreme is so much more exciting than the rest of the world.

In an interview with everyone's favourite publication, The Daily Mail, Mars marketing manager Nicole Villari commented:

“Our collaboration with Krispy Kreme really celebrates Australia's love for Maltesers. It's been incredible to see the flavour profile of our delicious Maltesers being transformed in a new and exciting treat experience.”

The doughnuts are available for a short time only, and are on sale for $3.60 per doughnut or $28.95 for a dozen. Can someone from Australia pull through and tell me what these are like?

They are available at 7eleven stores across Australia, Krispy Kreme stores and Uber Eats.
