The famous Mughal recipe: Mutton Rogan Josh
This is a staple dish in every North Indian restaurant
Mutton Rogan Josh is a staple dish in every North Indian restaurant. Brought into India by the Persians and Mughals it is now something we proudly like to call our own. This flavourful and aromatic Indian main course dish is best served with Naan cooked with butter. However, you can serve it with any flatbread or even rice if you so desire. Make sure you have sides of pickled onions to go with it.
Please note that Indians prefer the use of goat meat in these dishes as it is softer and does not overpower the spices. However, you can replace the goat meat with lamb meat.
