How to download and save your posts + other FAQs

It's been a roadtrip and a half, but the FoodTribe business - including this website and app - is coming to a close at the end of this month.

The reasons for this decision are mentioned in our announcement, but you're no doubt wondering where this leaves you...and all your work on the platform.

Please note that we will continue to provide support as we shut down, so if your question is not answered here, please comment below or reach out to us, and we'll respond as soon as we can.

IS THERE A WAY I CAN SAVE MY FOODTRIBE CONTENT?

Yes. You can quickly generate a PDF copy of your published articles on FoodTribe by going to each article you wish to create a copy of, and selecting SHARE (next to the BUMPS and COMMENTS counter).

One of the options is GENERATE PDF. Click this, and a PDF version of your article will be created for you to save.

The PDF will maintain the FoodTribe format of the post, including the Impressions counter at the top - meaning your content will forever show how many people viewed it on FoodTribe. However, comments will not be saved.

Unfortunately this only applies to article content, as it would be impossible to generate successful PDF versions of quizzes and polls on FoodTribe.

I AM A FOODTRIBE SUBSCRIBER AND MY SUBSCRIPTION HASN'T FINISHED. WILL I GET MY MONEY BACK?

Yes. We will be processing refunds for anyone who has spent money on Tribecoin or subscriptions for January.

If you have purchased through an Android we will refund you automatically. If you have purchased through an iPhone, you will need to request a refund from your Apple account on your iPhone.

All refunds will be processed by early February.

I'VE GAINED QUITE A FOLLOWING ON FOODTRIBE. IS THIS JUST GOING TO DISAPPEAR?

If there's one thing everyone's loved about DriveTribe, it's how easy it is to garner an engaged following and gain thousands of views on content in days. We fully understand how upsetting it is that it's about to disappear.

While we can't help convince your followers to follow your endeavours elsewhere, you might consider doing a post to your profile telling people where else they can follow your work, and perhaps provide an idea of what you're going to be doing in the future.

If you're a FoodTriber who hasn't really created your own content, but has certainly enjoyed others', you may like to visit your favourite creators' profiles and see if they've posted alternative ways to engage with them or their work.

I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION ABOUT MY WORK OR PROFILE THAT ISN'T ANSWERED HERE

As mentioned, we'll be continuing to provide as much support as we can during the shut-down process of FoodTribe. If you have a question about your work or profile that isn't answered here, please ask it in the comments below, or email help@foodtribe.com

  • On a separate note - you and the team could probably hit the "Wayback Machine" site for both DT and FT, so they can live forever. Plenty of time to back everything up, since it takes a second per page.
