The Houmous Threat
17 brands of Houmous have had to be recalled over salmonella threat
A high threat of the deadly bacteria is sweeping houmous aisles in all the big names such as Asda, Aldi, Morrisons, Saisbury's, Lidl and Spar.
Salmonella is one of the most dangerous and common causes of food poison, with symptoms including diarrhoea, stomach cramps, vomiting and fever. All products made by the supplier Zorba Delicacies are a threat and The Food Standards Agency (FSA) are encouraging people to throw them away or return the items.
A total of 17 items are said to be a threat, among which two are sold at Aldi, Two at Lidl and seven Asda! The FSA have warned "The products listed might be contaminated with salmonella. If you have bought any of the affected products do not eat them."
Therefore, be careful with your houmous people!
