The perfect way to store spices
I was topping up my masala dabba this morning and thought I would share it with you.
My Indian spices are in this one
Spices are best kept in a cool dark place and my masala dabba is perfect for being quick to grab and cook up a curry in a dash.
I don't know if you have come across these but they are readily available in Indian stores or even on Amazon.
You can stack them up as high as you want and build on them as your spice collection grows.
Now you might be wondering how I cope without labels. Some spices like white pepper, cloves or turmeric don't need a label they are so identifiable but I put whole cumin next to my ground cumin and whole coriander next to my ground coriander - cunning eh!
But if you need a prompt just drop yourself a note in the tubs.
It's worth noting that they also go in the dishwasher too.
