The Vegan Cheese Board

When I first went vegan the main thing I was worried about was missing cheese. Being vegetarian for 10 years previous to turning vegan, cheese was one of the main dairy products I ate. I wasn't fussed about milk and of course ate processed foods which contained milk products. But my eyes were opened when I joined the many wonderful vegan foodies on Instagram and I was quickly inspired by a wonderful bubbly woman from Yorkshire. She made vegan cheeses look easy to make and delicious. I have to say she didn't disappoint me!! I then went on to adapting the recipes to suite my taste buds and this is where this beautiful cheese board comes from. I made a spinach ricotta, Chilli cheddar style and a black pepper cheese. served with homemade crackers and tomato chilli chutney.     • Me too!! Halloumi is just so special lol but bio life do a vegan one which isn’t too bad not the same admittedly

    • Nah, if you are referring to the Mediterranean style one, it’s delicious, but it’s not hallumi, it’s closer to another Greek cheese, called kefaloturi (κεφαλοτύρι), the taste is just like that! 👌🏼

    • It’s a tough one to give up but honestly after a while you don’t miss it and your palette adapts to the new non dairy cheeses
