The Walkers Christmas crisps range ranked from best to worst
Merry Crispmas. Which one would you choose?
Walkers has brought back its limited-edition Christmas crisps for 2019. You can pick them up in a multipack of six, called Sprout Lovers, for £1.65. Yes it might only be October, but I love any excuse to celebrate Christmas early (sorry, I mean, do important consumer research...). Here's the definitive ranking, from best to worst!
Best: Pigs in blankets
Ah pigs in blankets, you really can't get much more festive than these! As a flavour for a crisp they work perfectly. They are meaty, sweet and taste just like the real thing, just with added crisp.
2) Glazed ham
It wouldn't be Christmas without a glazed ham would it? The saltiness of the crisps are sensational with a pint of cider or beer while sat in front of a fire.
3) Brussels sprouts
Now this one is controversial. It's a Marmite situation... you either love them or hate them. Along with the glazed ham, Walkers has brought back its Brussels sprout crisp for 2019. You might think it sounds disgusting, but the snap of the crisps are ideal for the vegetable taste that follows. Don't hate on them before trying!
4) Cheese and cranberry
One of my favourite indulgences in the festive season is cheese. I could live on it. I am also a massive fan of cheese and fruit, and cranberries are no exception. The only reason it's near the bottom is simple: they are no way near the real thing.
5) Turkey and stuffing
I love turkey and stuffing as much as the next person. However, you know if you get turkey wrong it can be lacking in flavour, dry, and a bit boring. Well, that's like these crisps.
Have you tried the new Walkers Christmas range yet? Which is your favourite?
