This brewery is hosting a YouTube pub quiz on Tuesday!

Big Drop Brewing Co. has developed a novel idea for fending off loneliness and boredom.

Thanks to the hated Covid-19 coronavirus pubs all across the UK were forced to shut their doors on Friday night, leaving punters disappointed and landlords without customers.

The government advice for Covid-19 is to avoid any unnecessary physical contact with anyone, so clearly the closure of drinking holes supports this approach. However, it also causes social and economic problems.

Fortunately, alcohol firm Big Drop Brewing Co. has stepped in to try and fill the gap as best it can. On Tuesday 24th March it will be hosting a massive pub quiz… on YouTube! This means that anyone can take part from the comfort of their own armchair.

Dubbed the Big Drop Living Room Pub Quiz the event is absolutely free to enter and the questions start at 7:30pm. Streamed live on YouTube, quizmasters will ask a series of questions that competitors will have to answer before the end of the round when the answers are revealed.

Marking has to be completed by those taking part, so the best policy to consider is honesty – although it might be a bit much to insist that people swear on the Bible. Those paying particular attention throughout should be able to take note of giveaways that will be revealed during the live showing.

For anyone interested in taking part, further information can be found on the firm’s Facebook page.

Thinking outside of the box in the way that Big Drop Brewing has will help to address many of the secondary issues caused by Covid-19, including social isolation and dullness. Hopefully, it will also assist in keeping pubs and breweries operating while the virus restrictions are in place.
