This is a dish my mother-in-law had while she was growing up. There wasn't many choices for spaghetti sauce then and tomato soup was much cheaper option to feed all the kids.
Over the years it got named poor man's spaghetti. My husband also grew up with this dish as it got passed down.
Everyone can add their own personal touches. My husband adds some sugar and that's usually it. I like mine with a pinch of sugar, salt, oregano and a bit of cayenne. Sometimes I add some cheese sometimes not.
Memories in a bowl. I hope you enjoy the story and maybe give the dish a try!
