You might want to get saving, the 2019 World’s Best 50 Bars list has been revealed.
This year’s list includes 10 new entries and two re-entries, with bars from 26 cities across 20 countries.
From London to New York, and Hong Kong to Sydney, this has made for a rather expensive, boozy bucket list.
A fifth of the top 50 are in London, with seven in North America (six in New York, and one in San Francisco).
Dante in New York took this year’s top spot. The original Caffe Dante opened in Greenwich Village in 1915, and was frequented by Italian immigrants in the neighbourhood. The cafe re-opened in 2015, owned by Australians Linden Pride and Natalie Hudson.
London’s Connaught Bar is in second place, a fancy and elegant hotel bar in Mayfair which does an incredible Martini.

FoodTribe group trip?
Soo, boss, I need liiiike £100,000, and a good few weeks to go to 20 countries and 26 cities around the world... to drink cocktails.
Hmmm, when you put it like that it sounds much harder to do. The only option is a hefty food bribe I think!
After I retire when I’m 80 I’ll get right on this list, or after I win the lottery.
This sounds like fun I wanna do it! Lol
No bars in Ireland from what I can see. Strange considering there’s an Irish bar in every city, town and village in the world😁
I always think The Safe House gets overlooked in Milwaukee which is for sure a pub crawl must. Cheers Rachael!
