This treacle tart/New York Cheesecake hybrid recipe is everything
A crisp pastry shell, treacle, a silky-smooth baked cheesecake – hubba hubba!
Do you know what we all need right now? Cheesecake. But not just any cheesecake. We need a really special one to turn things around a bit. And we might just have the recipe... It's a magical dessert hybrid — a treacle tart meets New York cheesecake — that will, even just momentarily, make you feel fuzzy and warm inside.
Cheesecake is a beloved confection world-wide, but New Yorkers fell in love with cheesecakes back in the 1900s. The credit for the baked NY cheesecake is bestowed upon Arnold Reuben, who first found fame with The Reuben sandwich, a grilled sandwich with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing, grilled between slices of rye bread that really took off. Killer sandwiches and cheesecake? What a man!
But back to this treacle treat! It comes to us courtesy of Liebherr appliances, who produce hi-spec fabulous fridges, consistent in their modern design, convenience to use and offer outstanding technical performance.
The brand's freestanding fridge-freezers are outstanding appliances with plenty of room for storage and long lasting freshness, thanks to BioFresh technology. They also do table-height refrigerators with lots of useful features such as height-adjustable and scratch-resistant GlassLine shelves that are made from safety glass and super easy-to-clean. But we reckon the likelihood of this cheesecake making it out of the oven into the fridge is pretty slim.
Don't forget to let us know if you make this at home!
