Three tiers for Pizza Hut's ultimate feast

Everyone loves a conspiracy theory, so here is mine: Santa Claus is actually pizza.

It makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Not only does his ample belly suggest more than the occasional dabble with calorie-stuffed snacks, but his traditional red attire can surely be put down to centuries of messily gobbling endless tomato bases.

As a gift to us all this year, Pizza Hut has developed an invention more holy than a meditating angel: a three-layer pizza extravaganza called the Triple Treat Box. Although there has been no official confirmation of Old Saint Nick’s involvement with the iconic design, it can very much be assumed that his beard is sodden with a persistent stream of drool.

The special offering provides a Christmas miracle of preventing arguments over takeaway options. Thanks to its inclusion of two medium-sized pizzas, five breadsticks and ten cinnamon rolls, the monstrous triple-decker easily satisfies the wildest cravings of everyone – even that weird friend who spends way too much time playing Call of Duty.

The Hut’s ground-breaking creation is not the only advancement the established pizza chain has made in recent weeks. Back in November, the pizza professors linked in with meat-free food producer Beyond Meat to launch a pizza exclusively topped with plant-based ingredients.

The Triple Treat Box has been distributed to Pizza Hut outlets across the USA and costs $21. So, if you really want to impress Father Christmas on 24th December you’d better leave a few of these three-tier wonderments underneath the chimney. Just make sure they’ve cooled down a little bit first.

What toppings would you choose for Pizza Hut’s triple treat?
