Trying Drinks: X marks the Spot
Every now and then, I do love a nice Brewski.
Almost two Months ago, I had tried out a really nice, really bitter Lager made by Pistonhead/ Brutal Brewing of Sweden. Back then, I had turned the Beer into a pink Berliner Weisse with the Help of some Raspberry Sirup. It was just a bit too Hoppy for me.
Back then, I had also asked what Beer I should try next. The Majority of those who answered my little Poll has decided: I was going to try their X-Edition Lager.
Product Photography is kinda fun.
Since I had not really want to have any straight Lager for a while though, I just got to testing the X-Edition today.
DISCLAIMER: I am very picky with what Beers I like.
Of Course, since I was trying out a Beer and nothing else first and foremost, I had m first few Sips without anything added. I definitely liked this Version better than the Kustom Lager that I had tried earlier, but it was still quite Hoppy.
With a few Ants.
Because I really like Radlers and Shandies, I again turned my Beer into a nice Berliner Weisse. This Time, I went for a nice green Waldmeister (Woodruff) Version. Maybe I will do a Post about Waldmeister at some Point, if there is Interest.
With the Syrup, the X-Lager did still taste very much like itself. The Beer paired very nicely with Waldmeister, and I really liked that.
It was still kinda Bitter, but combined with the added Sweetness, it actually tasted very good. Today, I really liked my little international Swedish-German Weisse. It was really awesome.
In other News, I got Featured on Foodtribes Official Instagram and Twitter. I kinda liked that. And hey, Stroopwafels are awesome!

I am not a lager person, I prefer imperial Russian stouts. Nice review Robin!
Never had one of those!
They are a strong heavy beer with strong earthy flavors like coffee or a very dark chocolate with a little bitterness. They make Guinness seem like drinking milk 😁
I am sure and would...
Read moreWhen it comes to beers I prefer imperial ipa's and stouts but I'll generally try something at least once.
Definitely not a Fan of IPAs. But a nice Stout can be great!
Stout is definitely great after a nice steak.
