Tuna Steak & Stuffed Peppers

Saw some tuna steaks reduced from £7, to £1. Never had tuna steak, so took a punt. Wasn't sure what to put it with, so went for stuffed pepper. Something I'd never made for myself.

I wish I hadn't been so hungry, because I'd have liked to have taken a bit longer to enjoy them. Absolutely delicious! 😍

  • It must be "melt-in-the-mouth" steak. I can still see redness through. It must've been rare inside. My I advise about stuffed peppers. When I bring peppers home, first thing I do is to char skin directly on gas burner of the stove. When they are charred all over, I put them under kitchen towel to steam up and cool down. Remove skin then. They are still firm, but have that unbelievable char flavour when stuffed. Just make sure they are nowhere near water. Any wetness washes flavour away. By the way, what did you stuff peppers with? It looks like melted cheese on top. It must have been super delicious! Glass of Chablis or white Bordeaux to wash all down?

    • If you won't use all peppers, store used ones in the fridge, but not for too long. I usually put tuna in the freezer for an hour, maybe more, before cooking. Then, when cooked, it still firm, juicy and slightly cold inside. My wife, myself and...
