A creamy, delicious, vegan pasta dish

Choose wholewheat spaghetti for more protein and nutrients. And if you're looking for nutritional yeast, it's often sold in health stores or bigger supermarkets.

Vegan chanterelle mushroom pasta

Creamy and delicious.



  • 300ml Sproud Original
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 1/2 onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 200g fresh chanterelles
  • 2tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh basil or parsley (optional)


  1. Cook the pasta according to the instructions, but only until it is al dente.
  2. In a pan, sauté chopped onion, garlic and chanterelles until the onion and chanterelles begin to get some colour.
  3. Add Sproud and seasoning, bring to a boil and let simmer for a minute.
  4. Drain and add the pasta to the pan. Stir to combine and allow the pasta to simmer with the sauce until the sauce has thickened. Add more Sproud if it gets too dry.
  5. Serve with fresh herbs such as basil or parsley!
