Brilliant, got to say that is how I have always done it. Only one problem I don’t like champagne and I have now gone alcohol free.

Nicely done. But what’s the story about glassware - coupes, flutes or tulips?
I personally enjoy my sparkling from either a proper wine glass or flute. Coupes don’t concentrate the bubble or aromas well enough. Tulips are nice, but I only really use them for fortified wines.
We use flutes, but I noticed coupes seem to be appearing in restaurants again. Just fashion then I guess!
