For part one of this series I'm working on my onion dicing technique. With a little help from Gordon Ramsay (in digital form) I want to sort out my bad habits and improve the quality and speed of my cuts. Enjoy!

That was a good watch. My mum used to work in professional kitchens and she taught me, unsuccessfully, the chop-away-from-yerself rule. Once the technique becomes second nature, you can safely just keep adding speed. And then ultimately start chopping to music.
that sounds very sensible. more speed is always the goal
It's the hallmark of great chefs - speed.
Good job. Believe it or not, I learned more from watching your video just now than I have from watching Ramsay's. Thanks!
Haha glad to hear that. He is a speedy chap. I find the zoomed in, out of focus editing style of his shows very fun to watch but yes, not great to learn from!
Stand too close while you chop them and they'll make you cry
my arms are only so long
Excellent onioning 👏🏻
why thank you
Great work James! Really looking forward to seeing the next 9 days of vids : )
