We asked FoodTribers to make their fav dessert, and this is what you whisked up
The challenge where everyone won
Sometimes you just need an excuse to make your favourite dessert. And it was with that in mind that FoodTribe had its first FOODTRIBERS, START YOUR MIXERS challenge – with some great results...
TIRAMISU, BY PATRICK JACKSON
Okay, we really want to talk about that wicker-encased casserole dish, but we'll keep focus - amazing work, Patrick. The biggest, please.
CHOCOLATE PUDDING CAKE (+ BONUS PARFAIT), BY CHRISTY SANDERS-SARTI
Christi's reveals two great baking principles: there's no such thing as too many chocolate chips, and you can always make two desserts.
FANOUROPITA, BY NATALI ELEFTHERIOU
FoodTribe's challenge chimed in nicely with St Fanourious' memory day (August 27) which gave Natali an excuse to make the traditional Greek/Cypriot butter-free, egg-free pie, Fanouropita.
Apparently it's light and fluffy, and tastes like cinnamon.
MASCARPONE TOAST WITH PEAR, BY MARGARET JACKSON
Pear on toast? We wouldn't have thought of it either, but this looks amazing.
BLACKBERRY MANGO PIE, BY JANE FYFE
A lattice pie with a pastrotic twist - filled with the odd but effective combo of blackberry and mango. Oh, and served with ice cream.
SPEAKING OF ICE CREAM, HOMEMADE STRACCIATELLA ICE CREAM, By Simona Poláková
Homemade ice cream might sound complex, like homemaking every other usually-store bought thing always seems to be - but Simona's recipe is short, simple and involves a whole glorious can of condensed milk.
Serve with mint, some pear slices, and a tea in a very pretty cup, obviously.
MINIMAL-BAKING BALLS, BY EUGENIA MACHADO
Made with crushed biscuits, hazelnut, and more of that glorious condensed milk, Eugenia's pick is a recipe she got from her best friend's mum.
"We crush the biscuits and the hazelnut, with a blender, you can also leave small chunks of hazelnut if you want but we normally reduce them to powder. We add a can of condensed milk and mix until we get a thick dough. With our hands we make balls and we pass them through powdered sugar and we put them in the fridge to harden a little bit. They're ready to eat!"
Who else is going to try this immediately?
PB & J CHEESECAKE, BY DOUG F
FoodTribe's Dessert Challenge spurred Doug F to attempt something he's never done before -make a homemade cheesecake, using the recipe from the Philadelphia cream cheese box we've all looked at and gone "one day I should do that". With added peanut, of course.
Apparently it's very rich and only a small piece will do, but Doug, we'll make these mistakes ourselves, thanks.
SLICE WITHOUT NAME, BY FULANA DETAL
So it was meant to be a Castagnaccio. But after realising there were no pine nuts, in true baking creative spirit, Fulana added dark cherries soaked in sherry and couldn't come up with a name for the resulting slice.
Fulana Flan?
HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE MELTING MOMENTS, BY ZAHRA SHAFIEI
Zahra says her first baking cookies ended in smouldering failure. This was her second attempt.
A tremendous thanks to everyone who participated! Stay tuned for next time's challenge, and don't forget to vote for 500 tribecoins in the direction of your personal favourite...

Oops, forgot to include my own molten self-saucing pud. I burned my hand seconds after this pic, but I was soon distracted
🐶
That actually looks quite good so instead of a ‘That’s Pants’ award, I’m giving you something normal🤣
If a dessert cart rolled around with all of these on it, I'd never decide which to choose. They all look so unique and delicious! Foodtribers bring it with the desserts 💪
First, Thank you for this delicious challenge! And second, I can't choose just one; All of them look very tasty!
I agree with you 100%.
Choice is hard, everything looks so great!
It is a hard choice.

A nice post John. Everyone is a winner indeed. So many great deserts to choose from.
Amen. Though I do add an 's' in that desert.
I cannot wait to see what else you are cooking up challenge wise.
