Welcome to ‘Criss Cross’, a new croissant-themed cafe in London’s SoHo
A brand new cafe entirely dedicated to croissant is opening in SoHo - in the West End of London - on the former site of HipChips on Old Compton Street.
It’s called ‘Criss Cross’ - a new concept by chef Roberto Guzzi (Patisserie Novikov, Mayfair) and creative director Boris Kofman (Mnky Hse, Dover Street) - and it is specifically tailored for croissant lovers, with a huge selection of flaky, buttery croissants ranging from traditional ones with chocolate, vanilla cream and strawberry gel to more elaborate ones with yuzu curd and black sesame praline, or pecan frangipane with vanilla cream.
There are also going to be savoury options with whisky and soy cured salmon croissants or cashew cream and seaweed or, my personal favourite, four cheese and black truffle.
To celebrate the launch (TBA but it should be imminent), Criss Cross will be giving away 100 free croissants on opening day. You might wanna keep on an eye on the cafe’s Instagram page @crisscross_culture .
