What is the best ammunition to use in a food fight?
Grab the nearest food to you because it's time for some fun
Food fights, the often-occurring yet exotic sport of throwing food at the nearest person to you, always has the way of bringing out the kid in most people. Whether planned or not, they often feature food, a mess and people getting hit by incoming projectiles. This popular tradition has even been dated to have existed since the early Middle Ages in Europe and continues going strong today.
There is even a Spanish festival held in the town of Buñol in Valencia every August known as the La Tomatina, where the locals pelt each other with tomatoes. The Italians are even on the action with food fight festivals with the Battle of the Oranges held in the town of Ivrea, where instead of throwing tomatoes they use oranges for their choice of weapons.
However, when in a food fight what is the best ammo to use against your fellow human beings? In order to find out, let's look at a few examples of the most commonly used choices.

Ah, popcorn. This small and puffy snack is the perfect hardware to use in a food fight for multiple reasons. Its small size means many can be thrown at one time at the intended target while its small size means it won't cause too much injury, well unless it goes in their eyes but let's not dwell on that. (Or maybe just wear goggles or sunglasses for safety).

Nothing beats spaghetti in food fights because of its tomato sauce laced tendrils not only leave your foe in a mess but gets in everywhere, quite literally. Also, depending if it has topping or not, this Italian cuisine can leave your opponent in quite the heap of food, making it all that more satisfying to throw.

Another one from the Italians, pizza. While it might not be as messy as spaghetti it is still something fun to hurl across the room and watch splatter across your frenemy. Also, being more solid than spaghetti, it is easier to hurl at the unlucky victim in its flight path. Do I even have to mention the topping?

Cake, is there even a need to explain further? This sugary treat can come in very handy if a food fight happens to break out at parties or practically any day of the year. Whether for a celebration or not, there is nothing that can compare to throwing cake to the nearest person to you. Depending on its flavours and toppings, cake can also leave anyone its hits in the worst of messes. (Highly recommended that caramel cake is used.)

Now we are moving onto the pièce de résistance of all artillery used in food fights, cream pie. It has been apart of slapstick and comedy on television since the 1909 silent film Mr. Flip and even further in history when in staged performances. Because of this it has become very popular for pie-ing, meaning if there is a food fight and cream pie in the same vicinity it will most likely end up on someone's face. It's the ideal item to fling at anyone, no matter who they are.
