  • Basically anything my grandmother cooked. When I was a child my parents both worked so my grandmother would frequently help out and cook for me. The problem was that she actually hated cooking so everything tasted bland and flavourless. Only later I found out that the food she prepared was in fact very good when done properly and now I love all of it! 😊

    • Love that story, Jan! Grandma food is the best. The thing I loved to eat the most when I was a kid were my grandma’s beans without beans. To this day I’m mocked by my family as the “caldinho” eater.

    • It seems that your grandma loved cooking more than mine 😊. Nobody really knows how it happened that my mother was actually an excellent cook. She couldn't have inherited it from her mother 😁.

  • I didn't like eggs back in kindergarten yet that's what my mom packed for lunch everyday! Everyone in the class thought that I loved eggs, even my teacher did. So much so that in the parents' teachers' meeting she was like "He likes eggs a lot, right?"

  • Peas. I was forced to eat it once, then never ate it again until college in the US. Peas were cheap and canned, so I learned to eat it.
