Home cooking brought to you by

French cuisine is known throughout the world. France has hundreds of specialities you won't forget once you've tasted them. Some of them might be memories from your travels, or others might be regular dishes you cook in any corner of the world. I'd love to know what your favourite French speciality is. You could choose snails, or frog's legs, beef bourguignon or French onion soup. Or something totally different. You can only pick one dish though, even if the choice is hard.

Croque monsieur
I ate the best one at a Parisian restaurant during a journey.
Good choice, I forgot that one.
I think mine is French fries.
THEY ARE ACTUALLY BELGIAN!
You're right but it depends how many time you cook them. That's the main difference between the French fries and the Belgian fries.
Chocolate mousse. I'd also rate escargot.
Good choice. It was one of my favorite dessert when I was a child.
Big fan of escargots here. Gotta respect ratatouille though.
Chardonnay
Does it count as food or wine for you?
Does French toast count?
It depends with food you eat it.
Umm.. I am confused.
