I have always thought of Italy as being the foodie capital of the world. At least that's what I thought for a long time. However, now I think of so many other places such as India, Japan, China, France...the list is endless. So, where do you think it is?

  • I’m pretty well traveled and have had amazing food in many countries. But in terms of an incredible meal every time, it has to be the Amalfi Coast. Every meal I had over a 10 day trip was memorable. The flavour of the simple produce makes me salivate just thinking about it.

  • Presumably a big city where you get all the cuisines in the world?

    • I suppose but I think you can get most cuisines in big cities. But if you had to choose one place to visit just for the food where would it be?

    • Well, I'd stay at my hometown Hyderabad which is modern enough to have amazing Italian, Mexican, Chinese and other cuisines, but also has some of the best Indian food in the world.

Or I'd go to Rome or something.

  • I think it might be somewhere in France. It's not breadth of cuisine that matters.

    • If it's based on coffee shops, obviously it's Melbourne.

    • That was where I was going. France or Italy for the passion and dedication that goes into their cooking.
