I read somewhere that the paper straws were worse for the environment as they actually take longer to break down?!?!? I don’t know how true this is… but we prefer metal straws we have a set and take them in a bag with us if we are eating out somewhere or taking a carton with us as the kids take too long to drink a carton sometimes which always leads to disaster!!
I can find myself in the breakdown time of the paper one, lots of glue in it. I think if you change the plastic one into cannabis Plastic (which really exists) it will break down within a month
Wow! That would be incredible I was also wondering about the seaweed options as I’ve seen those hydro balls which are made from seaweed that hold water and burst in your mouth surely that could be an option…

For Home Use, there are also Metal and Glas Straws.

Yeah. Probably too expensive to just give away with every Beverage they sell.
I prefer the concept/reasoning for the paper straw, but it always feels like a race against time to drink from it before it disintegrates lol
