Daal is one of the best things in the world if done right. I had two kinds of daal and rice yesterday, panchmel dal, Dal fry, paneer pulao and jeera chawal. All so wholesome! Dal FTW as it's also one of the most important things in a vegetarian's diet, being so proteinaceous.

The "if done right" is a very narrow window. If it's in that window, Dal is BRILLIANT
YES! Especially when you are a vegetarian and require protein. ;)
