I find the service in my local independent coffee shops is amazing and their home baking is up there too. I only really go to bigger ones if I’m killing time for something that happens to be next door but I’ve nothing against them
Big chains use really cheap coffee beans because they usually get asked to pour milk in it and that hides the crap quality. I like espressos and that means I have to go to at least a decent coffee shop rather than a chain to get my coffees because otherwise it is just bitter and horrible. I would recommend ginger & whites in Hampstead who do pretty decent espressos.
I'm a mixture. If I know the independent (like one near my train station) I prefer to support that. But if faced with choice of Starbucks or an unknown independent, I'll go Starbucks. I know what I like there.

I make my own.
You could open a coffee shop. ‘Pats cafe’
Brazilians are born knowing how to make perfect coffee, aren't they?

Local ones, run by entreprenuerial Columbian migrants.
Of course. I wouldn’t expect anything less from you
