Who was the biggest cook when you were growing up?

  • I'd have to say both. My dad makes awesome salsa, tacos, beef jerky, divinity, and reese's cookies ect. and my mom always makes chicken pot pie filling, beef stew, chili, and lots more!

  • Stepdad, easily. Mom had three dishes, of which I would willingly eat one. Dad could do a mean breakfast, but everything else revolved around dips. Stepmom could cook well if she wasn't being "experimental," but that was a rare event. Those muffins still haunt me...

    • Muffins should be a joyous occasion. The base ingredient should mesh well with the filling, whatever it may be, to provide a treat for the pallette. They don't even have to be sweet, just so long as they match.
