Winners of the New Year's 250 TribeCoin giveaway!

I want to start by thanking everyone for participating in this end-of-the-year competition. Even those who simply liked the post deserve some participation points. In the end, it was a lovely culmination of heartfelt toasts to the end of 2020, fun conversation, and some holiday cheer... in liquid form.

As much as I wanted to give everyone a bit of credit, not everyone qualified. At the end of this giveaway, I was torn between a few different posts and comments. Taking in consideration the sincerity of their toast, (as in speech, not bread), and the interesting-ness of their drinks, I decided to reward a few different Food Tribespeople with a jackpot of TribeCoins.

"I know it's a bit gimmicky, but the Dom Pérignon Brut Vintage Luminous was the perfect accompaniment to a socially distanced, outdoor, and bonfire warmed send off to 2020! The champagne had the beautiful freshness and complexity you expect from Dom P. 2020 does not deserve a bottle like this, but we sure do. FoodTribe, thank you for being here for us, for giving us a safe, inspiring, and friendly place to share and learn about the things we love. Thank you to the stewards of FoodTribe for doing such an excellent job in fostering this rich, knowledgeable, and helpful community. Cheers!"

"I will open these: sparkling rosé from the Beira region of Portugal and a Lini 910 Lambrusco 😍. You might recognized the Lambrusco bottle and it is not a coincidence that I have the same bottle as the @The Angry Somm, it was his recommendation 👍🏼. Which brings me to FT, I am very happy that I discovered FT this year and I got the chance to meet a lot of interesting, fun and warm ❤️ people. These bottles represent my experience in FT: a wonderful Lambrusco recommended by a sommelier!! A sparkling rosé made with local grapes like the many delicious homemade meals and pastries I see here 🥺. The crazy 🦀 is this 2020 outside FT 😂. Happy new year FT"

"In the foreground the prosecco doc Extra dry Sue bought me for my 60th birthday in October, we're about to start this now. In the background a gorgeous Spanish brandy, Carlos 1, brandy de Jerez solera oak aged in old Spanish sherry barrels, for later. My European contribution to this evening's proceedings and I mean that on multiple levels as we leave tonight.

As for FoodTribe, well, it has been a saviour this year. The fun of zoom coffee mornings, afternoon tea parties with new friends from all over the world. It's a great place to be and fun. New friends made, all over the world from all age groups. Wonderful. Language barriers transcended, just tonight I found out what Australians call courgettes. Can't remember as it's just awful in any language.

So happy new year to all my friends, and friends I haven't met yet on FoodTribe. It's my pleasure to be among you."
