Worth a trip to Australia for? McDonald's launches extra cheesy burgers
Aussies will need to get in quick though, as they'll only be available at their nearest Macca's for a limited time
McDonald's Australia – or as us Aussies would actually call it, and as it shall henceforth be known throughout this article, Macca's – has launched a new range of extra cheesy additions to its menu in the form of two all-new burgers and the return of Mozzarella Sticks.
The two new burgers, the Cheesy Beef Burger and Cheesy Chicken Burger, are unsurprisingly, given their names, even cheesier than your usual Macca's favourite, with the most notable addition being an oozy breadcrumbed cheese patty.
In addition to this, both feature a 100 percent Aussie beef or chicken patty, along with tomato chilli jam and crisp lettuce on a sesame seed bun.
Additionally, the introduction of the new Cheesy range has seen Macca's bring back Mozarella Sticks to the menu after a year's absence, with them this time being served with the same tomato chilli jam that comes on the new burgers.
Macca's Australia Marketing Director Jo Feeney notes that with many cheese fans out there, this new range of burgers puts a welcome twist on some Macca's favourites.
"We know there are a lot of cheese fans out there, and the newest burgers on our menu area cheesy twist on some of our customers’ Macca’s favourites," said Feeney.
"Our cheese patty is the perfect combination of melty cheeses including parmesan, cheddar, and mozzarella, made from 100% Australian milk."
For those elsewhere, however, you're out of luck if you're hoping to try these new additions to the Australian range, as they're staying firmly with us.
For the Aussies reading, however, you can head to your local Macca's to try the Cheesy range out now, but only for a limited time.
