Would you spend €2000 on a pizza?
If you want to... you can, thanks to Dino Forlin, a young restaurateur and owner of Pizzeria Forlin in Cassola, near the city of Vicenza in Italy
Perhaps you haven't been out for the past few months and you really want to treat yourself. Or perhaps you've forgotten how much it costs to eat out.
Either way, from 12 September, if you really want to, you can treat yourself to a €2000 pizza.
You read that right. To celebrate the return of the fine jewellery and gold fair, VOICE 2020 to Vicenza in Italy on 12-14 September, you can now buy a pizza topped with edible gold.
The idea came from Dino Forlin, a young restaurateur from Vicenza, and owner of Pizzeria Forlin in Cassola.
If you're looking for more details before you part with your €2000, the pizza will have a 30cm diameter, a high and soft edge, the dough will be leavened for 144 hours, and the topping will consist of: two varieties of caviar served on mother-of-pearl spoons, Andria artisan burrata, and edible gold in leaves and powder form.
This isn't just any old Margherita...
The pizza will be served in an exclusive mise en place, with precious gold-plated cutlery enclosed in a dedicated box, and a bottle of Dom Perignon 2009.

I'd happily spend a lot of money for a nice dinner e.g. at Osteria Francescana in Modena but this is something for people with so much money that they don't know what to spend it for. Sadly, I'm not one of them 😊 Come to think of it, I'm not even that sad about it 😁
I agree with you 😁
Only if it came with a mark 2 Cortina
Hell nah. That’s money for bills. 😂
I understand you 😂
Nope!
It sounds like a collection of expensive items decorated with gold for the extra $$$. I would stay within my budget and order 🍕 Margarita 😍.
Simple is better!
It is 😋!
