Would you try a doughnut-flavoured 12% ABV stout?

It may sound intense, but you know you want some...

Flavoured beers aren't a new creation, but while a few years ago, a mango IPA might have seemed a bit 'out there', we've gone way beyond that now.

To celebrate Beavertown’s 9th birthday, delicious doughnut deities Crosstown, have teamed up with the North London brewery to create the pastry stout.

And it's a strong one.

For those of you who don't know, a pastry stout is a stout brewed to be sweet, often with sugary ingredients added. The 'end goal' is to make it taste like – and sometimes have the appearance of – dessert. Hence why this crossover makes so much sense.

This 12% ABV beer is a hybrid between Crosstown’s popular Crème Brulee doughnut (featuring notes of vanilla and caramel), and a Beavertown stout. According to Crosstown, this Pastry Stout is 'rich, sweet and delicious, and perfect for enjoying as an after-dinner treat'.

Just 50 limited edition Crosstown x Beavertown Beer Boxes are being sold, with each box including the option of six Crosstown favourite doughnuts or cookies, plus three cans of Crosstown x Beavertown Pastry Stout (330ml) and three Beavertown Neck Oil Session IPA (330ml).

Orders can be placed on Crosstown's website, with delivery across the UK. Prices start from £34.95.
